Vortech Intake Tube

I just ordered a polished Vortech Intake Tube from Summit. I presently have a ceramic coated Trick Flow version and was never totally happy with it. Does anyone have the Vortech with a GMPP cold air intake. Will I have to cut a few inches off the mass air sensor side to make it fit right with the GMPP??

most likely youll have to cut off a few inches, and probably more than what they say youll have to cut off.

the gmpp is just like the slp, and you will have to cut off the maf side. my friend had that on his car, and it looked bad ***! btw where did you get that intake? they stopped making them awhile ago...or did you just have it that long?

I picked up my GMPP intake a very long time ago back when the F-1 Camaro was out. I ordered it through GM Performance Catalog.

You will probaply have to cut about a inch of the end of the vortech tube towards the Maf. I know that is what I had to for my Ram Air Box. Also, if you got the steel version make sure you have some good clearance between the Maf and the elbow. You do not want to unnecessary heat up your Maf because the metal elbow is a better conductor of heat.
