walbro high and low pressure pumps
I just realized I bought the high-pressure walbro fuel pump a couple months ago...and I dont have a nitrous or super/turbocharged engine they are designed for. Will this make a difference? I plan on using an AFPR regardless so I can tune the pressure if needed. I just want the pump to be reliable.

You asked a good question. I am curious what the replies will be. I recently purchased a Walbro190 for my modified 454SS truck. I chose that version since I felt the popular Walbro255 was not necessary for the power that engine is producing. I knew the oem pump was not up to the task though.
I not sure there is any benefit from installing a FP with higher flow than necessary and there may be a chance that the life might be shorter for a higher volume pump. But I am unsure.
One thing I do know is that changing the FP in my truck is one heck of an easier job than changing it in my Camaro.
One last comment. FPs deliver fuel volume, not pressure.
