want to go under 12.5 1/4 mi
right now here is what i have,
97 SS M6 t-top.
3.42's
Jet Hot long tubes
4" y-pipe no cats
3" flomaster exhaust
t-byrne MAF Ends
!CAGS
!AIR
!EGR
TB Bypass
! rear o2's
sport line springs
17x9.5" wheels kumho's 275's
I have not switched to an OBD1 yet but plan to.
I also plan on getting some nitto's
what would do the trick?
i was thinking 1.6rr
vorteck elbow
supercharger is a little too much money
i dont want to do nos either
and i dont want to tear apart the motor for heads or cam.
whats the best way to go?
what should my horsepower be right now?

Cam that SOB!!! dont be scared oh yeah, dont forget the cut out, It will sound great on those Longtubes. 4" y pipe... that is huge!! I do not belive you one bit that you have sport line springs and a 4 " y pipe. I bet it has more dents than a golf ball

speed bumps.....
bumpy roads.......
flat roads.............
i had 3" side exhaust on for a little over a month now and i'm quite happy with it the way it is now. it sounded like a motorcycle with 3" side pipes. if feels faster now too. i was thinking of corsa exhaust, i dont know if i want to spend the money or not. do they make 4" catbacks? i'll get the RR's but i really dont want to tear into my motor at 67k miles. i've heard too many stories about cam installs on very low mile cars.
i would like to get a SC but dont have the $$ to throw down. i dont think my rear end would be abloe to take it, i would need a 12 bold with 4.10's.

Your probably pushing somwhere around 290-300 rwhp...97 ss 6spds seems to dyno considerbly higher then regular Lt1's..I dont know why, just what ive seen...410's ,nice cam/rockers, and those nittos should do the trick for you.

drag radials/4.10/pcm tune/cutout/1.6rr and a nice cam/remove front swaybar/electric wp
that with some good drivin should get you close
there is no way to make an lt1 go sub 12.5 with out power adders or motor work unless you do some serious i mean serious weight reduction with every possible bolt on and loads of BMR.
a lot easier to just cam it
