Warped block deck?

How possible is it to get a warped block deck just around one cylinder? I know to take a straight edge to it and see if there are any gaps but I'm not really seeing anything. Has anyone ever had this happen? Thanks.

Re: Warped block deck?

Decks can be warped easily.....

One hole can have it happen if the TQ on the head bolts is off or that one cylinder gets hot.

This happens, that's why we deck the blocks.

That goes without saying. I am wondering whether or not I might screwed it up when it almost over heated the other day.
