Opti wetting is not anywhere near as bad as many seem too think, mine has been doused a few times in Dexcool(another one of those things that gets an undeserved bad rap) and is fine. A tip for all is to take a little of that grease you get with plugwires and coat the weatherpack seal at the opti wiring harness, that is where it is most vulnerable to water getting in, the grease will help seal it up tight.

Good info. The reason i'm running my LT4 ED chain was because i don't trust the electric pumps, they go out instantly unlike manual pumps which usually leak a little bit before they go. Also if your electric pump goes bad you can't get one at the local parts house. Also the opti isn't as weak as everyone says.
