wet opti??

wet opti??

last night drove through a lake of a puddle, after first crank today my car didnt start, second time worked, but is not idling correctly, has this happened to anyone befroe, anyone know what it is??

When my rad. hose blew, and soaked my opti it died right were it happend. I tried to restart it, and it ran like crap. I was told that if i would have left it to dry for a day or two it might have been alright. I ended up changing it, because it would not run right even after a week.

You have probably toasted your optispark. That's a classic example.

A few people have had success with letting their optis dry out. Unfortunately, these success stories were only with 95+ vented optis. You're pretty much screwed with a 93-94 non vented opti. My recommendation is you buy a new opti and do this:

thanks guys, but somehow it managed to dry out, i just drove it about 50 miles varying the rpms, works like it did before, thanks for the write up also on how to vent it, ill be doing that when it gets warm out
