What 3000+ stall converters is everyone using?
Ok, incase you missed my other thread. I've got a 10.5", 3200 stall ProTorque converter that's only stalling at 1900, on the footbrake. Since my CC305/ported head swap, I'm only pulling 1.77 60 ft. times (no wheelspin). My cam starts making power at 2500 RPM's, so 1900 stall isn't no where close to being enough. ProTorque says they can restall my 10.5" to stall more, but I'll lose top end MPH...Unless I set it up to lock up in 2nd gear. Or I can go with their 9.5" non lock-up, which will give me more stall, and efficiency, but it's not as "Street Friendly". I still drive this car on the street alot.
Here's what I want to know.
(1) What converter manufactuerer and stall rating you're using?
(2) What cam are you using...With cams advertised RPM range?
(3) What is your footbrake stall?
(4) What is your MPH and ET...Preferably N/A?
(5) What's your 60 ft. times
BTW, take notice that this is a '93 Camaro, so I've got a 700, not a 4L60E

CC306
Footbrake stall on stock internals was 3000
Best MPH was 105.6 stock internal with 2.1 60' so there was more MPH in it since I had to play the flutter the throttle game.

2. CC306 cam
3. footbrakes to only about 2000
4. 12.24 @ 112ish, 3305' DA, horrible air...
5. Consistent 1.70's.
When I start actually working on my car again (damn college ) I want to either have it restalled up about 500, or maybe toss in a whole new converter. Definitely want to footbrake up to 3000ish

Vig. 2800 went 1.69 60's with a Hotcam and 3.42's in a 3700lb. car. I switched to the 3500 and it went high 1.5's to low 1.6's depending on conditons and retains lockup. The vigilante is the way to go for street/strip converters. I am going to a TH350 so I have mine forsale but iot's still in th car right now. iut will work in a 700 or 4l60 and it's a 9.5" converter. LMK if interested b/c it will be out later this week. Clint

Thanks for the reply. Is that a lock-up converter?
