what all do i need for cam swap.

ive decided to go with the CC503 cam swap. I've searched this website and every other website a hundred times for info i just want to make sure i got everything correct before i start ordering the parts. I've seen many threads about the comp r's failing but is that the same as the comp 1.6 pro mag r's? anyways im not 100% sure but ive got a list of the parts that i think i need. let me know if there is another brand or size or anything that i need.

Which Kit would be best???

The Complete kit includes cam, lifters, timing set, springs, retainers, locks, & stem seals. Part # K08-503-8 Price-$944.61

The S-Kit includes cam, lifters, & timing set. PART #SK08-503-8 Price-$683.02

I have no clue what all my mechanic will be able to reuse-if anything-or what all will be needed for the swap. I know im gonna go with new lifters, rockers, timing set, and pushrods for sure.

If i go with a kit the lifters and timing set will come with it but if not im not sure about which lifters to order and i think that the rockers i have listed below are the correct ones.

Comp 1.6 Pro Mag Rockers for 7/16 Stud - Part # 1305-16

Does anyone have any advice on maybe somewhere that has a better deal on the kit or where to buy everything individually. ANY ADVICE WILL HELP.
I know texas speed and j&j have some pretty good deals on the parts im looking for but let me know if u know anywhere else!! THANKS A LOT!

is the timing chain a dubble roller? if so you will need a electric waterpump.

My suggestion, don't get a cam unless you can install it yourself and know how to work on it. After you install a cam you'll really need to be able to work on your own car if not you'll end up spending a lot of money with mechanics. Just my 2 cents.

Re: what all do i need for cam swap.

i consider my mechanic a good friend of mine. im not illiterate when it comes to working on cars. me, my cousin, and my uncle had to replace the valvetrain on a car that ran a 6.6 1/8 mile. i just dont have the tools and resources to do this kid of work, hell i dont even have a garage. but anyways i stop by my mechanics shop about once a week anyways and i dont think he will have a problem helping me with any adjustments that need to be made after the swap. as soon as he gets done with it im gonna be putting on longtubes with true duals, new fuel pump, and another nitrous setup.
