What breaks in the rear end once you got the pawer to break it?

I know that once I get the power, and the traction, that the stock rear (is it 10 bolt??) is going to go bye bye, but why? what is it that breaks? and is there ways to help it last, while still getting good launches?

usualy its the ring gear or the diff it self that brakes. you can rebiuld it with a better diff, gears, a rear end cover like the TA and weld the axle tubes, get stronger axles ect ect ect. Some people have had a lot of succes with this but in time.. and enough power. the 10 bolt will not hold up to well
