Its not a bad choice but you may want to spend some time searching around here to be sure -- that particular car that i mentioned above claimed some sort of cam-only dyno record, so i wouldnt expect identical results.

What kind of dyno #'s did you LE2 headed crane 227 cam put out? I used to have that cam and loved the lowend torque it had.

I'd like to see your numbers too with the 227 and LE2's.

It was actually your old dyno graph of the 227 vs the 846 that convinced me to get that cam!

The #'s depend on which dyno in town i go to At one i trust the most it put down 354rwhp/353rwtq SAE, but it has gone as high as 369 rwhp/361rwtq SAE on the more optimistic one (both are dynojets).

I'm slowly working through a few bugs (oil consumption, float/bounce above 6k, and tune is still a little off), but the setup has been running pretty strong for the past 35,000 miles. Definately agree with you on the lowend, it's a really nice DD cam!

Once I get some respectable track times out of it ill post a nice summary up.

Yeah I had valve float issues with mine too, I wish I fixed that and got a dyno tune before swapping it out for the 846. I still miss that cam to this day, it was by far the most fun cam to DD with. Is there anyway you can post up the dyno chart or email it to me? I want to see the torque curve.
