Why don't you send out your converter and have it tightened up? I know allot of good tranny guys who will reprogram a converter. There is probably nothing wrong with your converter you just need to have set particularly for you. BTW the more power you make the tighter you want it to be or else you will driving right through it.

My Yank ST3200 is nothing like that. Youl have to give it a little more gas than a stock stall but it still moves good at lower rpms. Could something be wrong with that your stall? 3200 is not a lot of stall anyway, with my cam I really need a 3800 or 4000 stall. Alan

As others have said, there is something wrong with your converter. If it actually stalls at 3,200 and the car doesn't move until 2,500, sounds like it needs to be rebuilt or replaced. The converter I am using stalls at 4,200 and the car will move off easily at idle (1,000rpm). You may have "turned" the stator or the sprag may be screwed up.
