I actually shift into fourth after the 1000 foot mark. WAY later than I would like. If I was tuned, with the rev limiter moved off of 5900-6000rpm, I could probably run thru in 3rd gear.

Also, at what speed was you shifting? I personally bounce it off the limiter. I also speed shift, that is, I do not let off the gas when I shift while racing. This may have some minimal time increase with it. This also may have something to do with the stock clutch saying, I give up(lol). There should be more in your car tho'. I didn't get a chance to run the car on the DR's after the changes. My buddy let me use his slicks and I was able to make 5 passes and I used the slicks on all 5. I think that I could say the slicks DID give me a good 3tenths. So I may only be 13.3 on the junk tires with the inconsistent launching that I get with them.
well what do you think the weak link could be, i thought i covered everything.

and for the runs, i granny shift, and i have not speed shifted the car, nor do i intend to.

From what I have read, not from personal experience. I had heard that the 10bolts 4.10 gears are thinner. Which would make sense with more gear count in same area. Therefore they are said to be broke easier than desired. With a good hard 6-spd launch, I think that a 10bolt with 4.10 gears may be a weak link.

As far as you asking me what do I think the weak link could be. I really do not know other than not pushing the extremes such as I do. And I do understand why. Your car sounds like a good one. I have a fresh 700hp capible T56, 12bolt, and an extra 4bolt main LT1, that is almost done, on the engine stand. So pushing this one is GONNA happen. I think with a good clutch this combo could have hit the 12s.

Just curious, whats the D.A. at the track you are running?

If your D.A. is up there, your running some nice times.
