what do u guys think?
I have LE1 heads with 2.00-1.56 valves and the intake matched with all bolt-ons. CC306. I ran 13.01 at 111-112 all day long with no traction. I also put 370 HP and 335 TQ to the wheels on a dyno. The car has a mail order tune so im hoping there is more in it with a dyno tune. Lloyd said it should be around 400 whp. I thinks the tQ is really low and my mph should be a little higher. I banking on a dyno tune and suspension work
Im using the following parts:
holly 58mm
30lb injectors
255 lph walboro
CC 1.6 pro magnums
pacesetter longtubes
stock compression, using impala head gaskets, for what its worth
auto-lite 104's gapped at .35
4:11 dana 60 rear axle

Re: what do u guys think?
Well Lloyd said there basically LE2 cuz of the bigger valves and they only flowed 10-15 cfm less. We can call them LE 1.5 I think the mph and torque is down though. Dont you think it should make more, and trap a little higher? I thought with more traction you will lose MPH...

Re: what do u guys think?
As stated above, you need traction..What kind of tire are you using?I would be using a slick, you have the rear end to handle it.I see the car is a 6spd,I would also install a line lock, that way you can really get heat in the tires.

Re: what do u guys think?
I did install a slp line lock last year, def needed with 6 speed. Ive been running BFG KDW'S but I tried a set of BFG drag radials from a friend last year and they would hold to about 3000 rpm but if i left the line any higher it would blow the tires off. I was thinking of going to a 26" M/T i hear they have a little better bite. Also i was only trapping 109 with the BFG'S, It was in the mid 80's every time i ran the car with the new motor.

for what its worth, my old set up thru a ten bolt made 339rwhp. did my s60 with 4.10 and re dyno'd at 328rwhp...... cant remember the torq tho. but on mickeys with all my suspenion work, the added weight and loss of power was well worth it.

Re: what do u guys think?
I ate 4 10 bolts. I see f bodys on 10 bolts all the time. Some rebuilt. Others beating the snot out of the original unit.... I constantly exploded posi units. Only 1 I sheered 3 teeth off the ring gear... must be something me and a few of my freinds where doing wrong

Re: what do u guys think?
Thanks guys for all the replys!
Dont you think 370 hp 335 Tq at the wheels is low for the car? I guess my concern is spending 500 on a dyno tune and only getting 5-8hp.
How much would my stock compression with Impala head gaskets be hurting me? Is there anything else this motor is missing... I dont have a electric waterpump or an ATI superdampener

Re: what do u guys think?
You could knock compression down a full point and with the cam/heads you are running, maybe lose 5hp. The milder the motor the less important it becomes. Your combo is relatively mild.

Re: what do u guys think?
I bet once you get more seat time and practice you will be a lot happier with the car. If you can get it to hook your et should be bottom 12s the way it is. Once its more dialed in it could even be faster. Practice and practice more. Good luck.

Re: what do u guys think?
The car is full weight. I unhook the front swaybar at the track and removed the spare tire and jack. Other than that its a full weight car. The car seems to be strong from 2800-5500. Seat of the pants it feels slower down low compared to to stock. Probally because of the shift of the torque curve with the differnt cam. Up top it seems like it doesnt pull as hard as it I think it should but i have nothing to gauge off of. No one i know has a simlar setup.
