What engine damage could this cause?

What engine damage could happen if you were ragging on a 96 supercharged 6 speed formula and went from 1st to 2nd gear back to 1st? I'm trying to get to the bottom of something that happened to my car when it went into the shop for some other work.
Thanks
Brandon

i would have to say prob bent some pushrods

pull pushrods
roll on glass
if not flat - they are bent
upgrade valvetrain while in there

The only way it will have bent pushrods is if the valves hit the pistons which is very likely in that situation. If ya find them bent look for bent valves too.

I bent a set of stockers pretty well revving them high on spray. Maybe I need to pull the heads

Do a leak down test first. Ya can tell by the flow of air whether they are leaking or not.

u know.. if ur pulling heads anyway...... little machine work would really wake that cam up -

i sooo regret not doing my heads when i swapped cam and valvetrain..they were ready to just pop off- but of course i opted not to spend the extra money at the time....now to do i need to tear everything down again.
