Well since my heads are coming off again I'm going to need new header gaskets. I had percys aluminum gaskets, but I didn't like how much smaller the opening is in them compared to the exhaust port so they won't be going back on.

You should be able to trim them some. I am using the 1406 (think thats right) FelPro gaskets and they fit well with my LE2 heads. I did trim the top areas just a tad.

Should have read your post more clearly, sorry.
How on earth did your ports get so big? Did someone gasket match them?
I'd use whichever gasket they matched to in that case.

Lloyd doesn't gasket match, he's spent enough time with a flowbench to know better.
My LE2 heads worked just fine with Percy's. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble.
You can try Felpro, but you will likely have the same issue.

Got any pics?

You want the D-port ones, specifically for LT1s.

No such thing.
Traditional SBC w/ a "D" port head will do.

Those gaskets will bolt up to any SBC head no matter the port.

The 1406 is 1.530 in. x 1.630 in. so it should fit better, + I should actually be able to open it up if I have to.

Hope they work for ya, use good 1" header bolts (preferably locking).
