ok i see this all the time "lt4 knock module" and i have no clue what it is, can some one fill me in, i feel kinda stupid asking this... thanks guys

 

A knock module, as the name implies, detects knocks so the PCM can retard timing to compensate. The LT1 knock module is said to be too sensitive, detecting false knocks and robbing engine power by retarding timing unnecessarily. That is why people go to the LT4 knock module, which is less sensitive and picks up less false knock. Hope this helps.
