What is leaking coolant?

Re: What is leaking coolant?
After reading this post, it sorta hit me that NOW I know why they put the weep hole where they did. In fact, GM engineers did us all a favor and put the weep hole over the opti so the opti would crap out and we wouldn't get either stranded on the side of the road or worse yet, blow up our engines cause the damn car won't start!! Ingenious I wish I were dat smart as dey is

Re: What is leaking coolant?
Thanks for the reply....i ended up removing the 4 bolts and at that point the
sun was beginning to go down since i spent most of my time going through tools...so i put everything back together but i know next time what to use..
One question, how do you remove the knock sensor..I couldnt even take off the plug. do you pull it? I know you need a 22mm socket but i couldnt even get the plug off to fit the socket. Another thing, the drain plug, There is no
way any tool fits through there with the exhaust in the way so how do you remove it ?

Not an answer to your last question. But try not to drive your car much the way it is. If too much water leaks on the opti it'll crap the bed on you and then you'll be even more broke. When you take the pump off try to stuff some rags or something between the wp and the opti to soak up most of the coolant.
