What modifications do you have to do to valve covers for Roller Rockers

What modifications do you have to do to the stock valve covers if you use 7/16 stud CC pro magnum roller rockers? I read a post on here that a guy had 7/16 stud rr and the stock valve covers where too short even after the modifications???

JUst wanting to know what all is involved since I will be doing this soon.

Thanks

Jason

I use 7/16 rocker studs, 987-17 springs, and Comp "R" Rockers, (non self aligning) with guideplates, and stock diameter pushrods.

I had to cut off the 3 bracings along with the center supports and relocate them to another location where they would clear the rockers.

I had to weld them back, and I used a cut-off wheel to remove them. Simple, but it can be a hassle if you do not have the right tools.

The valvecovers were tall enough, but just barely. I hear that Lt4 valve covers will fit, I just did not want to but them. Around $90 I think.

They should clear with modification. Look at the bottom of this page . It has some of the clearest pics I have seen on what needs to be done.
