Ha, you guys are insane! I was in my car going 145 and still accelerating, the bastard felt like it was one of those kiddy rides that wallowed and bucked around. I let off! Before I went 160+ in any Fbody I'd make sure I had a bad *** cage, stoutest helmet ever made, and maybe something like an urban assault full body armor setup

An NHRA Pro Stock Firebird body has somewhere between "0" and "nothing" in common with a stock Firebird/TA body. Ever wonder why they put that big wing on the back of the Pro Stocker? Downforce. This car got a little squirrly over 160mph, so its getting a mod.....

Spoiler....

Fred, I imagine your car would be kinda squirrly on the big end. Your car is set-up for maximum rearward weight transfer for the 1/4...no?

make sure your lca are in good condition. mine were broke and my car started "shaking its a$$' at about 140. it was scary as hell. i hit a bump and went off the road a little bit. let me tell you. make sure your suspention is all good. and get your wheels balanced right before so you know it will be ok on the road. o ya don't hit any bumps in the salt flats youll probably get some silly air.

Well i dont see why your worrying about how the car handles at the speed you are looking to go. The real question is how do you think u can handle when your flipping at 180 +???? I mean i dont know your car but crashing at 200 or even 100 mph less then that is normally fatal. Like they say about sex......there is no such thing of safe sex....just safer sex...LOL....just make sure your suspension can handle!
