what size header bolts do i need?
hey guys i just recently bought a set of pacesetter LTs and y pipe. they came with all the gaskets and bolts but im going to go a step farther and get better gaskets along with locking header bolts. i looked through jegs and summit but im unsure of what size i need for my 93 LT1. there are some in Summit made by Breslin Performance that are 12- point fasteners with 3/8 head with a 9/16 head flange. under the specific description of the bolts they have other sizes such as 3/8 head x 3/4" Length. i would greatly appreciate some help on this topic so i can get these babies put in!! thanks

Re: what size header bolts do i need?
Do yourself a favor and order them directly from Breslin. Just tell them you have an LT1 with long tube headers and you want the 1" locking header bolts, NOT the 3/4". Get the 1"ers. You'll thank yourself later

Re: what size header bolts do i need?
I just put in the pacesetters and y-pipe. I used the 1'' arp bolts with the 3/8" hex head. The locking bolts seemed like they could be a pain, so I didn't get those. I found that I could re-tighten the bolts pretty easily after the install(Except for the passenger front-need to unbolt the alternator) As stated above, whatever you get, opt for the 1" bolts. More bolt in the engine means a more secure bolt. Here is a link...
