hey what goin on folks man its been forever since the last time i posted in the tech forum..what stall should i go with this cam???im new to the tc im not even exactley shure what it does..i just know i need one with a cam...i should be gettin my cam kit installed in the next few weeks from now...so yea if somebody can explain to me what exactley a stall does that would be coo and which one youd suggest with a 224/230 xe a4 with 3.23s...thanks alot for checkin out my post...and for the future thanks alot for the reply

 

I had that cam in my last set up and I put a 3000 rpm stall in for it. With 3.73s I was pulling high 1.6 60 foots.
As for the workings of the stall, I'm not sure I could explain it very well.

I'd suggest contacting a company (PI, Yank, Edge, etc) and discuss your cam and use of the car. You'll get the right converter for your application this way.

 

I'm running the M29 M6 which has some different gearing in it, I don't think you will be happy until you move up to at least some 3.73's in the rear.....ever with a 2500-3000 stall.

Id go with a 3200. You won't be sorry! I had a 2800 when my car was an auto and I think I would have liked a 3000-3200, and I still had my stock cam.

 

how would a 3000 be with around town driver and its not a daily driver i just take it out to cruise or race...

 

You could run something as small as a 2400-2600 converter with that cam, but a 2800-3200 will be faster. Add on 3.42's-3.73's you will do a lot better.

you'll be fine. a friend has a vig 3600 on their LS1 and it drives fine around town. a 3000-3200 would be nice around town, enough to turn a cople heads but not enough to kill your mileage.
