Question What to use to cut down Pro 5.0 shifter??

I am just about to cut an inch off of my pro 5.0 shifter, and want to know what the best tool is to cut it with. I have been thinking a hacksaw, but people seem to be using dremels, and or die grinders. Any input is greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Brandon

I used a Dremel and those carbon cutting wheels that come with it. Had to use about 3 or 4 of them because they brake pretty easy once you get deeper. Hacksaw would probably be easier though.

Whatever you use, thread a nut or a die on it before you cut it. That way you can "chase" the threads after cutting by backing off the nut or die. I used a hacksaw.
