what would be the best cam for me?
this would be for pretty much a stock motor(only mods in sig). i am not overly concerned about HP #s, due to the fact that i cannot afford all the supporting mods like heads etc.... my budget would be around $1000-$1500 what would be my best, most practical option?
p.s. please include everything i will need

Id get the hotcam kit. Great street manners, best sound of the cams nearest its specs, good price, and kit has all you need for basic install. If you want to step up just a little, id go with cc503. It has a little better idle, and makes a little more power. After that you start sacrificing good street manners for power. If you want heads to, check out le1 package. A lot will have different opinions. This is just mine

what is so "rice" about liking the sound of good cam lope. if could afford to do a complete head and cam upgrade , then i would be looking for something with real good HP gains.

Are you capable of installing the cam? or do you know a buddy that will help you for a 12 pack and $50. Because if you don't the install is going to eat up a lot of your budget.
Many have said the hotcam for you because you can get the hotcam kit(500). You would also need a timing chain, gaskets, other misc. items. Around 200 in extra parts, then a pcm4less tune 100 and you good for 325-345rwhp. It will get decent mpg's, sound good and you don't have to rev it too high. Leaving you with enough money to pay to have it installed by a shop.
If you can get it in there for $50 and a 12 pack you would have money left over for a dyno tune and custom grind cam. A better choice if your budget allows for it.
Also you should give more infomation about what your looking for to get better answers. Your intial paragraph is quite vague, there are many people that could offer much better advice to you than me, if you present you questions better.

i will have about $1000 just for parts. i have already talked to a mechanic i trust and he will do the whole job for $500. this is a DD so streetability is important. Brett and a couple others have suggested the cc 503. if i were to go that route, what other supporting parts will i need?
