What are your Hotcam times???

I'm curious as to what you guys/girls are running at the track with your Hotcam-equipped Lt-1's. My times are in sig. for purpose of comparison. I think I should be running quite a bit quicker and faster than my times show. The car is tuned(PCMFORLESS) and it runs awesome. The engine is fresh and in excellent tune. I can walk all over LS1's(stock and bolt-on) on the street. I'm thinking that my track just sucks. I know I was trapping 2MPH higher at Terre Haute in my other car, so maybe the track I've been running at(Coles County Dragway) is just slow. Weather is also a possibility. Actually, most LS1's I see running at my track run ~8.9's. Anyways, what are your Hotcam times? I'm curious.

Damn man, my car weighs 3400 pounds empty! That sounds like a very respectable time your running, especially with a 2.20 60'! With a 2.20 60' my car will run ~8.90's. Keep those times coming.

Re: What are your Hotcam times???

Shoot, I still had the A/c in her and a leather seat. got a PA K-member in the garage and some other light weight goodies. I have to make up for the 30 lbs I put on in the last year

also got a 2600 stall, some air bags for the rear, 1.6 roller rockers, and some more suspension parts.

I like the cam, but i may go smaller

Re: What are your Hotcam times???

Those are some great times you guys' are running! So it seems that high 12's @ ~110 or so are about right for a Hotcam bolton car. I definately have some work to do. I'm going to run the car at Morocco as soon as it opens this spring. I'm definately thinking that the timing at my usual track is messed up in some way. As I said before, my old Firebird would trap 82 MPH at my home track, and 84 MPH at the other 2 tracks I took it to. That would be great if I could run a low 13/high 12 on the motor. My 125 shot would then put me possibly into the high 11's assuming I had some traction, which is doubtful. Keep em' coming!

Re: What are your Hotcam times???

don't mean to steal thread:

my car isnt cammed but im running 8.44@81mph and 13.3@101 on a 1.84 60ft. mods in sig, i was just wondering how much of a difference the hotcam would make in my car. i saw a lot of you guys trapping 107mph+ in the 1/4 mile, does the hotcam make that much of a difference? with my mods i went from 14.7@92 to 13.3@101, so factoring in another say 6mph from the hotcam should get me into the mid 12's?

Izzyz28, a 2800-3200 converter should really help out your times. just make sure you get some DR's or ET streets if you want to get some good 60's.

just got to say all the hotcam cars are really haulin A$$ w/ the trap speed you guys are putting down

my bad didnt see the M6 part in your sig

My times are in my sig. That's on an actual street radial, stock TB, 2:73s and stock heads. 1500ish DA as well.

Re: What are your Hotcam times???

Street Demon, you will be very pleased with the Hotcam. I can guarantee you will feel a huge SOTP improvemant, especially past 3K. I've put 20,000 miles on my Hotcam setup since last March, and I have zero complaints. I didn't feel any dropoff in low end torque with the cam either. I think it just feels that way since the mid-range power comes on so strong. Keep those times coming!
