13.0 is a big jump, that takes at least 50-100rwhp over stock. Traction also is another issue. How much do you have in mind to spend?

A motorcycle...

If you're close to sealevel, you'll need mac headers:$400, cutout:$75, ET streets: $350, and maybe gears:$600+. You didn't say if you had an auto or 6-speed. I'd guess auto, so you could pick up a stall convertor for $300. If you're a good enough mechanic, you can pick up almost 50 hp with a cam change. Cam would be ~$300. If you install stuff yourself, I'd guess $2500 to $3000 would get you there.

Agreed. Not the best way IMO to just get fast for cheap. But if your car is ready for n20 and have the basic bolt ons first with a better flowing exhaust system...go for it..

w/out nos there is no cheap way , unless you have an LS1 in wich case 410'2 could set you below 13.0 good luck ...but a friend of mine has 410'2 and NOS and he runs 12.6 al day consistant

Is your car an A4 or M6?

If you are any good with suspension work, fool with that some. That would get you there a little cheaper with minor mods. Course then you have the chance of breaking the 10bolt.
If you can build motors, I built a 383 with no topend work for probably around 2000 bucks. Probably more close to 2500 but still on the cheap side if you know how to do all the work. That should have a low 13 or high 12 in it if we could get the car to stick.

If it were me, do the free mods, learn to drive, dradials, play with the tire pressure, and do some suspension work.

Well with bolt ons you must have two things before you even think about 13.0s- Traction and good weather.

First off get some headers, MACs, SLPs, or long tubes. Off road pipe with cutout. If it's an auto get a stall converter, I got one used for $50. If it's a six speed learn to drive like a maniac and get some 4.10 gears.

Get a tune via LT1_edit or tunercat, squeeze everybit of HP out of your motor.

Get every bolt on you can possibly get, electric waterpump, 1.6 roller rockers, airfoil(hehe), just whatever you can find.
