Also note that Injuneer said that they added Borla collector mufflers with the Mufflex removed.

If you have no rules at the track and are worried about backpressure, just get the cat-back you want and put in a cut-out at the junction to let that turbo really free at the track.

Unless you have an electronic boost controller and large wastegate, that's not a good idea. . .

Woudnt you be able to adjust it for that though at the track, Have dual settings etc.

Maybe I'm a little slow, but it takes me 3 or 4 tries to get the target boost level with a manual boost controller.

Well I'm not doubting your dexterity at all , the simple fact is I've only watched people mess with turbo cars , I have never done the adjustments myself.

I thought maybe a manual controller would be somewhat consistant, or are they that variable from time to time?

I was thinking open cut-out, switch programs, set boost, have fun....lol

Re: Whats a good 700+rwhp exhaust system

There's a few guys around here running 700rwhp deep in the 9s using 3" true duals with Edelbrock 304 3" mufflers dumped at the axle...Not very loud at all...actually quieter than my Borla cat back with no plate....Its my next mod...Local guy does them with incredible ground clearance all mandrel bends...Great flow and not too loud...and for some extra $$$ he'll go over the axles....

Friend of mine is making 800+ through a Borla catback. With a cutout he only gains about 10-15 horsepower.

The standard muffler on the Mufflex systems is a Flowmaster race series 4" in/single 4" out. I ran the same setup (800HP nitrous motor) and didn't see any significant increase in HP by replacing the Mufflex with the Borla collecor mufflers and 3" pipes dumped in front of the axle. Also ran it for a while with only the Borlas, and no significant difference there either.

Like Injuneer said, I made the asumption that at that power level you would be running true dual's...did not know that is a single 4" system..my bad. Dumping it before the axle is a very good thing to do, those bends will create a decent amount of power loss
