What's a good cat for an OBDII LT1?

I want to replace just the passenger side cat on my 96 t/a but don't want to throw any codes. Catco doesn't recommend their converter on OBDII cars due to the sensors reading a higher flow. If a catco won't work, what's another cheap option that will work with OBDII.
Meineke wants $275 for a single cat!!!

No cats and O2 sims. Or, instead of sims, you can have them programmed out. Either way, no codes.

Re: What's a good cat for an OBDII LT1?

Im in the same boat as you. Even with 02sims, on a 96 or 97 car it will still set an SES light if you remove the cats. "EGR MALFUNCTION, flow restricted" which is kinda bassakwards because the reason it does it is too much flow. LOL What happens is the isnt enough backpressure on the exhaust system to make the EGR valve function properly. About the only option Ive been able to come up with short of reinstalling the restricted flow cat is to have that part edited out of the computer.
