I used a little rtv and the wp gaskets. The RTV was light, just enough to hold the gasket in place.

you have to put some teflon tape/liquid on the water pump bolts themselves as well.

Just out of curiousity, why put that tape on the threads? I'm assuming the bolt hole has a bottom and doesn't screw into a waterjacket or anything does it? Anyway, I was just wondering because I've never used any to this point.

I am positive that the two bottom bolts go into the water jacket; If you don't drain all of the coolant when you pull 'em thats where it drains from.

I use RTV on the bottom 2 bolts, and Loctite on the others.

Actually, I didn't use anything on mine either and it has never leaked a drop.

It is a good idea, though, to use a sealant on a bolt that goes into a water passage or is not in a blind hole.
