I'm looking to install new valvetrain stuff and thinking about adding new valve covers to pretty her up a little while I'm at it. I'm open to polish aluminum, chrome, or composite.

Anybody know of any places to buy them. Our supporting vendors sell breathers and stuff, but didn't see any valve covers.

I'll be installing Comp Camp SA 1.6RR. It would be "nice" to get valve covers that don't require modifying to fit, but I have no issues if I need to modify them. Also need to have the indentation to clear the alternator. You know the story.

I know there's lot of valve covers out there, but I would appreciate to hear from folks that actually installled CC SA 1.6RR about where you bought your valve covers and how you modified them to fit.

I just installed my polished alum valve covers last night. I have the CC 1:6 SA pro mag roller rockers. I bought the covers on ebay and I did need too modify them. I used a 3/8 carbide burr about 1" long and ground out the support webbing in the covers. Just in the area where the rockers are the widest. It took about 1 hour to modify the covers. They fit and look great now! I am very satisfied with the result.

Check out Canton (the oil pan guys) they have a beautiful set for LT1s and fit with no mods, but they are a little $$$, but look killer. I'm looking into those myself.
