Where to get 9" for $1700-$1800

I did a search and saw some say they paid $1700 and some $1800 for a boltin 9". Where in the hell are you getting these? Nothing on the web....only 12 bolts. It's time and I had bought gears and other things to strenghten...but that 10 bolt will break so i'm selling the new 10 bolt parts and buying a 9". Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanx
Joe

Thanx for the responses guys! BTW...if i'm paying that much for a rear (shipping from Cali to Alabama) I would be much more happy knowing I have a new rear...not something that potentially has damage...you just never know.

You can damage anything. I don't care what it is...I am a computer technician and things that I think cannot be done to pc's and LAN's .... are done fairly frequently. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. When i'm paying that much for a rear (when a new one is only a couple hundred...if that...more... it's not worth buying used.

The ultimate rear would be a dana 60, but I don't know if they even make them avaialble for these cars. A 9" is strong, but not bullet proof. A backbraced 9" would be pretty good. Unless your making LOTS of power, a 9" would be fine, and used, I wouldn't worry, chances are it's fine.

You guys can risk buying a used rear...but I won't...that's just me. I'm not that cheap....$300 dollars more with alot less shipping....not a hard decision.

I emailed moser today
they wanted like $1800 for a 12 bolt which is a better choice for most of us.
$2000 for the 9''

Cmotorsports is coming out with an $1800 rear pretty soon too

Would you mind forwarding that email to me? Otherwise I will wait until CM gets their 9" going.

Thanx

Yeah I talked to him a few weeks ago and he said that his 9 inch would be less than the Moser setup but when I called yesterday he told me 2100.
