This year, I decide to fix up my baby just because when I accleratation of my 94 firebird formula was very weak. After installing a new spark plug, spark plug wires, coil, opti spark, and MAC Mid length headers, it is still running the same but sound really nice. Where is my power? Yesterday I got my car back from the shop because I installed the a new 2800 tci torque converter and it made a difference but I am not please yet. Seems that my car is not at full power when I acclerate my gas. Any idea.... Do I need a tune up? Any advice will do.

did you change your o2 sensors?

my bad! I will ask the question to the LT1 Group but why would the 02 sensor cause this problem? How do we test if I have a bad 02 sensor

 

well i would just buy an LS1. ahah j/k. Go and make a few dyno runs. That can tell you alot, ie fuel mixture and tell you what power you are making.

Ok I have three gens of f bodies so will give some lt1 advice.First change out plugs and wires..yes I know that sucks in the lt1..sorry thats why lots of peoples lt1 run bad they haven't changed out plugs and wires.Next change out fuel filter.Next take q tips and rubbing alcohol and clean very carefully little wires on your maf.Change out air filter and don' overoil it if its a k and n type.!! Check your bellows for rips and to be sure it under the tb properly.And if you have a clutch it may be worn out and slipping
and if you have an auto it may need more fluid or be slipping and dying also.
And if you can get car scanned or buy a scanner if they make them for 94 cars like lt1 scanmaster great tool.

And hey lt1s sound better than ls1s ,the engines look better to me and they have better around town low end torque.But they also have the crappy opti..that is also likely your problem.Check that out too.Oh and if you car is older you may have clogged cats and o2 sensors will need changing but bad o2 don't affect wot.
