White smoke above 5k

I just aquired A new car with the Le1.5 pack and bolt ons, i recently noticed a white poof of smoke at hard accel above 5k, this car has no cats and runs great with no leaks, could this be because it has no tune/cats?

Re: White smoke above 5k

If I remember correctly, "white" smoke is "normal" (or is it burning coolant?)....blue smoke is oil burning...black smoke is running rich. I used the quotations on the white since you shouldn't normally see any color smoke on a well tuned engine. On cold engines with cats (but your's are cat-free) people claim to see a white smoke, but that is actually water vapor since the cat converts the hydrocarbons into H2O right?

Are you sure it's not blueish tinged?

Play it safe and have the car dyno tuned. You don't want to blow it up just yet

if its just a little puff of white smoke its probably ok, but if its alot of white smoke, its coolant burning.

Re: White smoke above 5k

not sure if u got it fixed yet or not but i had the same problem with mine just before the motor went it was the head gaskets leaking due to the pressure at those rpm's. hope thats not your problem. check the plugs for spotting or water disoloration.

Sweet means coolant. Go through everything and check for leaks.
