Damm, I really wish I had the money to try this out right now. I still have to buy my books, and class started 2 days ago . I wish I could help with this now, I have been wanting something like this for a while now. If this does become a finished product, then I'm sure you can count me in around summer time.

Hp is correct when he says it isnt made yet, but I have seen and talked with the guys doing it. The install is going to be a bolt on, no cutting design. Install should be as simple as removing the alternator, installing the new brackets, lengthing the alternator wire to reach the drivers side, and bolting the alternator on. A new belt will also be included with the kit.

Sweet! I may very well just join the 5...give me a day or so...

The final product will be available in satin, polished, powdercoated any color, or chrome plated.
Is any one of these included in the price?

For those of you curious about the people doing the project you can see their homepage and some of the other projects they do HERE.
Can we get that link?

This will require removal or relocation of the air pump, right?

It would look stupid if there wasnt a new pulley setup mounted there This has all been considered. The planning part of it is done, time for people to finally do it, and then a little R&D.

"The final product will be available in satin, polished, powdercoated any color, or chrome plated."

Are any of these available in the original price or are they extra?

Ok, I just got off the phone with one of the guys. Here is what I was told. Painted any color you want, or satin finish will be no extra charge. To get the chrome plated or powder coated finish you will have to include the costs of those services. Those are prices I cant supply now as we dont have anything to give them and say"how much for these" The Polished finish, which I myself will get, is 35 dollars extra to pay the polisher. I hope that answered all the questions.

I also have another bit of info. This deal ends TONIGHT. I have been told that I can go ahead with the deal as is with 4 people. I will allow those who want in until tonight at 10pm to let me know. After that you will wait until this is done with R&D and actually running around on a few cars. So if you are on the fence, time to get off it. You have till tonight to get it done. Tomorrow I will be sending out info to those who have agreed to get in on this. Thanks guys.

So is the accessory belt drive just relocated to the opposite side of the car? How will clearance be in order to run a longer belt across the front?
