Will this be a good cam for me?

Thanks 96capricemgr I agree I dont want this thing to rev past 6500. But I would like the power band to start @ 3 grand or so Because with the stall that is where the car moves when I go wot. I think I'll just throw a hotcam in it and call it a day since I already have the lt4 springs.

The LT4 springs are NOT good enough for the HOT cam when used with heavy LT1 valves. The LT4 had hollow intake valves and sodium filled exhaust, both very light.
The LT4 springs are perfect for a LT1 with stock cam and 1.6 rockers.

I've heard that sodium filled Valves are better valves. with a hot cam i'd get some stiffer springs. With a CC306 it was recomened that i used the 918's or somthing simalar. when i took the motor out and rebuilt it for my bro's ex it had some dual spring with dampner and it actually broke some of them. We used the 918's when i rebuilt it and they were taking everything we were throwing at them. So i guess i'd recomend somthing simalar to the 918's. very strong springs.

since the 918's are LS springs u need shims, locks, and retainers. the 503 cam is a very nice cam. a friend of mine had one in his 96 T/A and it ran very well untuned.
