I had a 160 and in the winter i was lucky for the temp gauge get to 160 and I had zero heat in any weather under 50! None. I put a 180 back in there right now and am going to see how that works, I might just have a clogged heater coil who knows.

I was just fixing to do a search on this subject---Is it really worth the effort to fight the intake elbow, possible low heat in the winter etc---does it actually enhance the performance of the car or is it just a little something to say i have installed? Like my LT 4 knock module. I have heard it both ways Thanks Dwayne

I agree with Hyperspeed. I got a winter beater cause i would never have the heart to put my car through a harsh cold winter, especially if you are in a place that gets snow.

Also, as far as the 160* stat goes, i dont think it will function 100% properly unless you reprogram you computer after. ie hypertech power programmer
