Will a LS1 inake fit on a LT1
#16
I've never personally looked close at a LS1/6 intake off the motor but could it fit maybe after lots of milling and cutting? Just a thought.
The LT1 and older small blocks have the intake ports grouped together to make it easier to use a single, centrally located carburator or injection system. Of course on the LT1 this makes no sense at all...

What if you made something like spacers or ? On the head end there would be the LT1 port, then on intake end there would be a LS1 port. Would it be worth the trouble? Not like I'm acutally planning on doing this but I wonder if you would see any gains HP wise if you actually got it to fit.

Dude, if you could see the two engines side by side you'd understand that it wouldn't work, spacers or not. Besides, the LT1 intake manifold is more than sufficient for just about any HP level you want.
The two are literally totally different. They are both V8, both are single cam, 2 valve with pushrod valvetrain.....after that there is no more commonality.
