In my opinion quite a bit at idle, Wide Open Throttle is not much different though.
I have had several guys I have raced mention that the car sounds somewhat tame when they hear it start and idle but when we race and I open it up they are like DAMN that things loud.

I actually had to cut them down to fit the DD subframes I have on the car.
They came with about 6 inches of extra pipe after the muffler itself then a turndown, I had a local muffler shop weld in some O2 bungs and shorten the ends of the mufflers but keeping the turndowns.
I posted a pic on here not too long ago, do a search for purple hornies and you should find it.

It can be tough to clear the DDs but a good pipe bender should be able to handle it.
Clearance on the crossbrace is the problem, alot of guys who do true duals take out the wavy piece of metal in there to get clearance, I run a Granatelli Gload brace as well so they have to clear that too.
I have a pair of Lowbaks that I want to put on and run the pipe all the way back to the axles with turndowns, its a real trick to run a Gload brace and DDs with a X pipe or H pipe, I am just gonna go without a crossover pipe.

my factory brace has been taken off, in favor of the lakewood driveshaft loop, it doubles as the cross brace

Thats cool I have been thinkin about the BMR one.
Make sure you check around and find a good exhaust man and he should be able to fix you up on the true duals.
Try and see some of his other work to make sure, I have seen some hack jobs on true duals and these were supposed to be done by professionals.

There is no such thing as too loud for everyday driving You'll be fine with that setup.

Yeah, I agree with that. My girlfriend doesn't want it too loud to where we can't carry a conversation I don't mind though, it might keep her quiet for a while

Seriously, does anyone know if there's a big difference in how loud the bullets and welded ultraflos are? And if I go with the ultraflos, will the dual in/out muffler work the same as an H or X pipe?

Thanks!
Chris

I think you'll like it. I have SLP headers, no cats, 2.5" X pipe into 3" Bullets turndowned right before the axle. I knew the car would be loud, but you never know how loud your car is until you let someone else drive it. I let my friend drive it and I could hear the car from a LONG distance. The car does have a good bit of rattling now, and the interior resonance is high. But the sound and nastiness of the Bullets are worth it in my opinion. The cats will quiet them down a little bit but it will still be a loud setup. Overall, I think you'd love them.
