Wiring Issues. ::sigh::
Not sure if there's anything that I can do just yet.
I am still researching all the wiring going to and from the locations involved with my little snafu.
---
The primary fan is not turning on, at all. I replaced the CTS in the front of the engine to see if it was giving a bad signal to the ECM. Still nothing.
My reverse solinoid lockout is not kicking in and it is... yes possible to shift into reverse while doing 70 or so. No it hasn't happend.
I'm also not sure if the smog pump is turning on.
When looking at the diagram in the manual I noticed that they all have a 12v wire that leads to all of them. So far this wire seems to be intact and providing 12v to fan, pump, and solinoid.
---
It is possible to ground the relay (job of the ecm at high running temp) and turn on the fan. So, now for your invaluable experience.
Has anyone ran into a problem like this? Should I just invest in a new ECM or should I continue to trouble shoot each individual part making sure I can turn each, the pump, fan and solinoid on and off, without the aid of the ecm, and then track to what sensors for each may be malfunctioning.
---
It's just the skeptic in me that these are not working and I found them on the same wiring circuit, however, that circuit does seem to work.
::sigh:: my many thanks
