won't start or turn over, battery isn't dead

The last time I drove my car was about three months ago. Drove like a dream. Mostly new parts (see sig). In fact, it drove fine for about 2 months straight before that. I took the front and rear bumpers off to get painted and then went to drive it again and nothing. I put the key in, turn it and absolutely nothing. I can't even turn the lights on. The battery is BRAND NEW with less than 30 miles on it. I have not removed or replaced ANY part other than the bumpers since it last drove perfectly. It does not crank, spark, make a sound, and no lights turn on at all. I used my digital multimeter to test the battery and it was PERFECT. Any help as to where to start? Could the VATS be the culprit? The car has had less than 100 miles put on it in the past year, but I don't think that has anything to so with it. Brand new opti, plugs, wires, coil, alternator, fuel pump, battery, injectors, and like I said above, it ran fine 2 months ago. WTF?

Check to see if there is a loose connection on the battery. Also yes a new battery can go bad cause of a bad cell. It happen to me from a wall-mart battery gone bad in one month.

Yeah, my first guess would be bad connection on the battery terminal, or the batt's ground to the frame.

Re: won't start or turn over, battery isn't dead

I have the exact same problem right now, it ran great last Saturday, come Monday morning, the door unlocked put the key in, turned her over, NOTHING, absolutley nothing, turned the key back waited a few seconds then the security final started blinking, weird stuff. Tried turning it over again nothing. Battery seems fine, the green eye is on, tried jumping it, nothing. Started yanking at some cables, the positive and negative and boom she turned over like nothing happened, meanwhile I'm late for work and all my radio stations are lost. Lets hope it is a bad ground, will have to take it off and clean it up when the garage is cleaned up. Wish me luck and hope this helps some.
