Worn GMPP guideplates

Hi,
I noticed recently that my valvetrain become pretty loud, so I decided to see whats goining on. Under valve cover I saw that almost all guideplates are worn and some of rocker arms are not centered over valve stem, although there is no worn sign on pushrods. Here are pictures (sorry for quality - it's from mobile)

Do I have just bad luck, and should I change these guideplates with other GMPP or should I look for any other possibilities of this situation?

Same thing happened to dhirocz. GMPP guideplates must just suck. Is it only happening on the driver's side?

The metal from the plates got in my bearings... Spun a bearing and had to rebuild.

What lifter's ya got? Ya got a small base circle cam? Ya getting enough lube to the Top?How much oil pressure? Your push rods the right length? Rocker shaft's installed with the flat side up? Valve covers hitting rocker's causing a side load?

Re: Worn GMPP guideplates

Were the GM guideplates installed with the "05" stamped in the guideplate facing up?

Good questions.. Answers below:
- Comp R,
- it's LE2 cam (by Joe O.), lift 0.569
- yes (800 rpm with slow flow from pusrod - didn't check higher rpm's)
- ok
- stock length 7.2" - didn't check but stock lt1 heads with stock GM gasket - so should be fine, i think ..
- I suppose so, although whole job was completed by mechanic
-I don't think so - valve covers were modified

guideplates has around 4k miles.

I don't know, but this cannot be issue as far as rockers are well centered - whole material of plate is hardened IMHO.
