Would A Intake Temp Sensor Affect How The Lt1 Runs
well i scanned my camaro for any codes yesturday night and i noticed something on the reading for the intake temp sensor and what it came out to was -40 i was like damn its runnin cold (joking) so i unpluged it and i recieved the same reading could this be causing my back fire? also the map sensor came back saying voltage too high any thoughts? thanks

The IAT will effect and cause the backfire; it's thinking the incomming air is colder (denser) than it really is, which is causing it to use more fuel.
As for the MAP sensor, I'm not sure about that.

What year is your car? In a 93 speed-density, IAT is of major importance. In a 94+ MAF car, its a minor factor.
Why not include basic info like the year of your car in your "signature"?
