would longer lower control arms help traction?

...I am going to make my own lower control arms. If I made them longer would this help traction? .... Bill...

More than likely not, since the engineers at Chevy put many hours into designing and perfecting suspension geometry. I doubt using a longer LCA would benefit anything, because you would also obviously have to lengthen the driveshaft, which in turn will push the rear end further back, which then would make the rear tires not fit in the factory wheel wells. But, I would believe the answer is the only thing it would do is cause a ton of problems.
