WTF?! Dyno numbers....

Arrite I did the hotcam kit a Holley 52 mm throttle body. First time I dynoed the car was at 257 rwhp. Now after I got the thing dyno tuned its only at 285? Whats the deal with people claiming that they get "330 hps" off the hotcam kit. They should be drop kicked in the face. I don't understand what is goin. I am pretty damn dissapointed. Anybody have any input? Or is this just normal. Or was it the dyno? I tested at speedinc. Thanks guys. Please Gimme Some FeedBack.

did you tune the car. The computer can do only so much.... But since you were at the dyno you should have A/F ratio readings? Are you using the stock heads? Bigger injectors?

I dynoed 289 at the wheels with bolt-ons.
Did you use a Mustang Dyno?

Definately get a wide ban and see where your A/F
ratio is at. Check all the obvious things twice. And
more info is needed regarding exactly how the car
sounded when it was on the dyno. Scan the chart
and put it up.

Are you running cats?

Have you checked exhaust back pressure?

u dont look like u have exhaust from ur sig

if u dont what the hell did u expect with the stock exhaust including the manifolds?

catback/longtubes or midlegnths will easily get u around 320-330

if u do have an exhaust u better find out whats wrong

I have the slp exhaust that came on the cars in 97. All stainless, with the stainless pipes commin out the drivers side. Headers really make that much of a diff??!

Yeah, you wont be making any kind of power without headers. Stock manifolds are good for boat anchors.

You might scare off the fish with those thing.

Also, you might need better springs and/or a valve job. I lost a bunch of HP from week springs which ended up screwing up my valves.
