have them extrude honed and port matched. If I can get
another 5 hp there and 30 hp with the baby cam, I'll be
close to 335 rwhp w/o headers. The solution to the worlds
problems can't be a set of long tubes.

i got some hooker long tubes that are ceramic coated. no egr or air. i was gonna use em for my old 94Z but now i got the dif car so i have no need for them. i'm not sure if they'll work for a 97 though....but you can PM me if you want...they're brand new with 3 dif sets of gaskets and cooper collecter gaskets

I don't know anyone that has claimed to get 330RWHP out of an LT1 with just the hotcam. An LT4 with the hotcam should make right at 330RWHP with stock manifolds, cats and TB. With proper tuning, I would have expected you to make about 300RWHP. Is your car an A4 or an M6? If it's an A4 you'll have more driveline loss. Also, I see Hypertech programming listed in you sig, I really hope you removed that and got a real ECM tune from somebody that knows how to tune LT1s (madz28.com, pcmforless.com, etc). Finally, I'd suggest you get it dynoed again on a dynojet dyno, and make sure they have a wideband O2 sensor so you can get some Air/Fuel results.

When you say "dyno tuned" do you mean that the PCM was programmed on a Dyno or you just had it dynoed and they gave you the readouts?
If you actually had it "dyno tuned" you probably would have ditched the HPP unless you needed it for the 160 stat and nothing else.
My guess is that a hot cam kit with 1.6RRs would get you up around 310 without headers. Maybe 320 with shorties, 325 with Lts. Just a guess.
I'm probably wrong, but some folks misinterpret what a Dyno place can actually do with regard to progamming the computer.JMHO

Mustang is a brand of dyno. It can be used with any car, not just Mustangs. It typically gives slightly lower #'s due to the way it measures power output, but is actually more accurate. As everyone else said, headers and cat-removal definately couldn't hurt the situation, but the type of dyno might also be the explanation. And on a final note, don't get caught up in what numbers the car makes on the dyno, worry about the numbers the car makes at the track.
