Re: X pipe set up...

With an X or H pipe, you are not going to have much ground clearance. No matter what you go with, you are going to be pretty low, due to the routing of the pipes themselves and the collector flanges. I never measured my ground clearance (stock ride height), but its not much. Its probably possible to lower it, but I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on actually driving the car.

When the exhaust pipes come to the rear axle why do thay have to bend up and over? why not just run it straight back under the axle ?

They don't have to. You can run your exhaust any way you want to. Most guys don't even take it out that far. Usually you'll just see people dump their exhaust right before the axle. I have seen one or two guys on there that go under the axle, but I don't like that look, and I think it would be too easy to damage the pipes that way.

Re: X pipe set up...

I have my x pipe set up right underneath my passenger side seat. It's a perfect fit. From there, the pipes bend to the center and dump before the axle. I have NOT SCRUBBED MY EXHAUST SETUP ONCE! It really is a great fit and sounds perfect...for me. Lots of guys put their x pipes in the dead center and get lots of scrub, but I haven't done it a single time. Just giving you an idea.
