Cmon, Im really interested now.

Shon, you wouldnt just do one run from a roll at around the 330' mark? I checked your link to GA fbodies and you got a forged 355.

Well, by the 330' I should be trying to catch up...I would go to the track and punch it from the 60' mark....but why not run 'em as you got em? Philosophy difference i guess.....

FORGED 355....the only thing Forged is the TRW (HEAVY ***) pistons. Stock Crank, timing chain, and rods. Not hardly Forged bottem end....TRWs for the spray whenever that happens. Not soon.

My mistake I saw 355 and forged and just assumed.

You will get a couple of races at least from a day at the track. Do a couple each way. One from a roll and a stop and 60'.

I have the same philosophy as you, run what you brought and go fro mthe amber but jsut as a reference I would like to see this happen. Just my $.02

I have some work done to the LT4 heads. But not a full port job.

The question is what is more important to the crowd, MPH or ET?
I like ET but agree that MPH is an indicator.

I will just take my measly/weak 340ish RWHP to the 11s b/c that is what I like to see, i probably will not run more than 110 MPH in the 1/4. IF I was a MPH chaser I would have went a different route for sure!!

I have a CC306 in an A4. Keep in mind i'm speed density too, even more of a pita to tune. My mail order tune from pcmforless made it extremely driveable. I honestly think it behaves like a stock cam. Sure, it lopes like a bitch, and I have felt a little cam surge, but i fixed that. The torque converter was locking up at 42 mph, so I bumped it up to locking up at 52 mph, and no more cam surge. It probably could've been tuned to not have surge, but i don't really care honestly, I just bumped the TC lockup up 10 mph, and all is good I have the stock 700r4 with a coan 3500 converter. I believe it has way more lowend power than my bolton setup, which ran 12.7 @ 105. I haven't been able to hit the track b/c I got a "low mileage used opti, like new" from here, and its garbage. I gotta slap a new one on, and then head to the track. I've made 1 pass on the street as is that felt really good, shifting at around 6900 1-2 and 2-3. Pulled strong

Marcin was right any big cam with a lot of overlap and no cats is going to have a raw gas smell at idle. The can be helped by tuning.

I am also using 1.6 rockers, my brakes work fine. The can hold the car back easily for a burn out and don't feel any softer than stock brakes. If you are a little low on vacuum just increase the idle a little.
