y coated headers

y do headers need to be coated , when stock one lasted 8 yrs already?

Stock manifolds are thick cast iron. They can rust for probably decades and still not get any holes in them.

This should answer your questions about ceramic coating headers.

Headers come coated bcuz it reduces heat and you dont have to wrap them........
