Lightbulb Zr1 Wheel Help!

A friend of mine give a good deal on 2 zr1 rear wheels.(17 by 11)
he told me that it was the 50mm offset.
Is there any way of measuring the 50mm offset or can you just tell which offset it is by just looking at the center cap? I've seen that some are deeper than other. mine is not that deep.
any commets will be really helpful

It should say on the back of the wheel somepace. Probably on the back of one of the spokes. Say like 50s or something like that.

Measure the "backspace". That is the distance from the surface of the hub mount to the very back edge of the rim. Put a straight-edge across the back of the rim, and measure down to the hub mounting surface. The 50mm offset 17x11 should have a 7.93" backspace. The other 17x11 is a 36.5mm offset, and that will have a 7.40" backspace.
