87 GMC Safari van
pretty good body, some rust but not too bad.
4.3 v6 uses some oil but runs well
automatic with overdrive 700r4 trans
kind of a dark red/maroon with deep tint privacy glass
due for an exhaust but isnt loud yet

$ 800 bucks and drive it home

Im just west of Ann Arbor

damn, wish I had the cash. I've always wanted to do a v8 conversion on one of those... Would seem to be a straight forward process...

I hear that those late 80's Safari/Astro vans are easy to do a V8 conversion on...........
Linky
They don't weigh very much - so it makes me wonder what it would take to get one into the 12's...........

yea, its supposed to be easy to swap a v8 in a astro/safari. I think they just move the motor mounts or buy yhe pre made engine swap mounts. some guys even take all the efi stuff from the donar car and run the factory efi stuff. theres a site devoted to safari/astro vans for you sic puppies out there.

I had a v-8 87 Gmc Safari Van. Except mine only had a 305 but it was still fun.
I was a pain in the *** finding cool aftermarket stuff for it thought.
Just thought i'd share.
