Re: anyone help me fix a coolant problem?

i'm losing coolant from my new 383...

-its not in the oil
-i've had the headgaskets changed and nothing as improved.
-car runs great only 300 miles on the engine
-lloyd elloit heads, dont think i'd get a bad set

- i did the rad. test and the pressure stayed high for almost 10 days... i just left the guaged pumped and it held there.

i'm using head studs...

i dont see smoke, no water in my cutout!!!

Seals on the coolant crossover tube?If not I would look at all the sparkplugs. If one looks unusually clean, thats where its going. How bad is it losing coolant?

So,what happened? If you dont see coolant on the ground or in the car,you have to face the fact that its going into the cylinder(s) and or oil.Even if you cant see it out the exhaust and it seems to run fine...Ever hear of water injection?

It holds the pressure test just fine. I think it had\has air pockets that need to be displaced. Steven
